Self-Publishing is hard. There is a lot to learn. Some of us soak it all up, others just want to write.
I will help you publish. I can help a little or a lot.
My preferred method is to consult with you on a project or hourly basis. In this mode, I can still do everything, just under your accounts. I become your guide, showing you the entire process, stepping through it with you. Whether it’s me checking in with you along the way, or you checking in with me along the way, we could find the right balance for you. I keep no royalties and expenses fall on you, either directly or invoiced. The advantage is essentially the same as when you pay any professional to do something for you.
If you don’t have cash up front, but really want to get published, I can still help. We would work together creating a publishing contract through my LLC, Green Giraffe Publishing. This contract would outline the rights I have access to, the royalty percentage I get from those sales, the length of the contract, and the terms under which you would get full rights back early. Green Giraffe Publishing would become the publisher of record for your book, though we could work out an imprint as well. I don’t prefer this method, but it is available. In most cases, you would not get an advance, but the royalty split would reflect this, ending up far better for you than the average royalty split tied to an advance.
